Recently I had the pleasure of stepping into the face-paced and physically demanding world of Crossfit. For an hour I was able to watch people push their bodies as far as they would go in an intimate and hot garage-- dripping sweat and often times collapsing on the concrete floor after a set.
As someone who isn't particularly active, it fascinated me to see what the human body was capable of. Watching these exercise enthusiasts lift and thrust and jump in an attempt to stay fit and healthy really convicted and motivated me. These people pushed themselves and persevered through the workout when I'm sure they wanted to quit and throw in the towel.
It also got me thinking about how, in this changing and challenging industry that I love, you also have to be push and persevere through some pretty tough times.
You have to set goals, even if they seem difficult and unattainable, and go after them. You can't quit and you can't slow down or else you'll lose your momentum and you won't achieve your desired results.
I am definitely looking forward to pushing myself and achieving my goals in this next stage of my life.
